# Understanding AI agents, deals and trades

## 🤖 AI Agents

In TradeLand, AI agents are automated trading algorithms driven by artificial intelligence. They execute trades on your behalf—24/7—following predefined strategies based on mathematical models and market analysis.

## 🔄 Deals

A **deal** is a complete transaction: a **buy** order opens the deal, and a **sell** order closes it. Deals track the full lifecycle of a position from entry to exit.

## 💱 Trades

A **trade** is a single order—either a buy or a sell. In the context of a deal, there are two trades:

* **Opening Trade:** the buy order
* **Closing Trade:** the sell order
